Game of Thrones actor Jack Gleeson is set to star in the BBC's adaptation of Enid Blyton's The Famous Five books. Sharing a first look photo, Gleeson looks unrecognizable as character Wentworth, sporting a mustache instead of his infamous crown. The series is based on Blyton's beloved novels and follows a group of young explorers as they embark on thrilling adventures.

The cast includes Diaana Babnicova, Elliott Rose, Kit Rakusen, Flora Jacoby Richardson, and Kip, a Bearded Collie Cross. Filming is currently underway in the UK, with no release date announced yet.

Gleeson rose to fame for his role as villainous King Joffrey in Game of Thrones and took a hiatus from acting before returning in 2020 with a role in the BBC comedy series Out Of Her Mind. He has also appeared in the movie Rebecca's Boyfriend and is set to star in the upcoming film In the Land of Saints and Sinners alongside Liam Neeson.
