Despite having multiple nominations at the 95th Academy Awards, Top Gun: Maverick star Tom Cruise did not join the award ceremony. And his absence was felt by the host and the attendees at the award show. But one person who would not have missed him could be his ex-wife, Nicole Kidman, who attended the Oscar ceremony with her husband, Keith Urban.

The Eyes Wide Shut co-stars were married for over a decade before they split in 2001. And their relationship post-divorce does not seem the best, as the Mission Impossible star allegedly made sure his ex-wife does not attend their son's wedding.

Tom Cruise Banned His Ex-Wife From Their Son's Wedding

It is unclear if Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman are on good terms amid their separation. But it does not seem too good considering the ex's alleged behavior toward each other. Soon after his divorce from Mimi Rogers, The Mummy star and Kidman got married in a private ceremony and later adopted two children, Isabella and Connor.

While her son claims to have a good relationship with The Undoing star, he reportedly did not invite her to his wedding in 2019.

Sources revealed that the Jack Reacher star's son followed his father's order not to invite his ex-wife to the wedding.

"First, Tom would never even consider inviting Nicole to Connor's wedding because she's considered a 'suppressive person' by the church — and, second, he doesn't want her there."

Sources claimed that Connor Cruise "worships the ground his father walks on" and would never disobey him. Both the adopted children of Tom Cruise have reportedly been associated with Scientology from a young age.

And his son's wife, Silvia Zanchi, is also a Scientologist.

Isabella and Connor Does Not Have a Relationship With Their Mother

Ex-Scientology member Leah Remini has been outspoken about her experience at the Church of Scientology and has shared it in her memoir, Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology. In her book, she also talked about Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman's children and claimed that both of them did not have a relationship with the Big Little Lies star.

Remini revealed that she met them during Cruise and Holmes' wedding and asked if they talked to their mother. Isabell scoffed, calling her a "f*cking SP." Connor stayed silent. The Church of Scientology defines an "SP" as someone who "seeks to suppress others." Both denied the claim, saying they have a good relationship with their mother.
