In a touching tribute, "Dancing With The Stars" honored the late Suzanne Somers on Tuesday, just one day before what would have been her 77th birthday. The popular ABC show paid homage to Somers, known for her role in "Step by Step," by showcasing a loop of photos from her time on the 20th season of "DWTS" at the beginning of the show and right before the final commercial break.

Host Alfonso Ribeiro expressed the show's condolences, stating, "Suzanne competed on season 20, and she made a big impression on everyone here both in the ballroom and behind the scenes. Our thoughts go out to her friends and family.

" Somers' former dance partner, Tony Dovolani, also honored her memory, stating, "It really hit me like a ton of bricks...she was such a beacon of light." Dovolani recalled Somers' resilience in fighting breast cancer for over 23 years and admired her dedication to maintaining her health. The news of Somers' passing broke on Sunday, and she was described as having passed away peacefully at home with her husband, Alan Hamel, and immediate family by her side.

A source close to the family revealed that Hamel had recently gifted Somers a handwritten poem and her favorite flowers, pink peonies. The family shared a heartfelt video on Instagram, singing "Happy Birthday" to Somers and expressing their love for her. They also set up a Tribute Book on SuzanneSomers.com, encouraging fans to share how she had impacted their lives and expressing their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support.
