Gal Gadot's Cleopatra movie is still in development, according to veteran producer Charles Roven. Director Kari Skogland is still attached to the project, but the ongoing writers' strike has temporarily delayed progress.
The movie was initially set to be directed by Patty Jenkins, but Skogland took over after Jenkins stepped down. Jenkins remains involved as a producer, along with Gadot. The movie, which is described as a retelling of the iconic Egyptian queen's story, has faced controversy due to Gadot's casting.
Before Cleopatra, Gadot will appear in other high-profile projects such as Heart of Stone and Snow White. Wonder Woman 3 is also in development.
