Natalie Portman, Jerry Seinfeld, Gal Gadot Respond to Hamas’ Attack on Israel: “My Heart Is Aching”

Celebrities such as Natalie Portman, Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld, Jamie Lee Curtis, Gal Gadot, Amy Schumer, and Chelsea Handler are expressing their support for Israel on social media following the recent attacks by Hamas. The war between Israel and Hamas has resulted in over 2,200 casualties and is expected to escalate further.

 Reports state that at least 22 U.S. citizens have been killed, with 150 taken hostage by Hamas. Gadot, who has previously spoken out in favor of Israel, shared a screenshot on Instagram, highlighting the hostage situation and the loss of Israeli lives. Longtime manager Guy Oseary also posted about the attacks, expressing his heartbreak over the violence.

Other celebrities like Curtis and Schumer reposted Oseary's post to show their solidarity. Schumer emphasized that this conflict is not about the occupation but rather Hamas's desire to eradicate Israel, with funding from Iran. Bruno Mars canceled his concert in Tel Aviv due to the attacks. 

Natalie Portman, born in Jerusalem, expressed her horror at the barbaric acts and extended her prayers to the affected families. 

CBS anchor Tony Dokoupil, who has children in Israel, opened up about the emotional toll the situation has had on him. Additional celebrities, including Sarah Silverman, Reese Witherspoon, Dwayne Johnson, and Gigi Hadid, have also spoken out in support of Israel.
