Zayn Malik has returned to the spotlight and credits fatherhood for giving him a new perspective. The former One Direction member, 30, recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Alex Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast, where he discussed his life as a dad.

In a teaser for the upcoming episode, Malik revealed that he has deliberately kept a low profile in recent years due to feeling "overexposed" during One Direction's global success. However, the birth of his daughter, Khai, whom he shares with his ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid, has inspired him to open up again.

Since becoming a father, Malik's main focus has been setting a good example for his daughter.

He expressed that his newfound willingness to do interviews stems from wanting his daughter to see him as someone she can look up to.

Malik also disclosed that his "bad-boy" persona has softened since Khai's arrival. He confessed to embracing dad jokes and even finding them cool.

Khai was born via a home birth in September 2020. Malik took to Twitter to express his love and gratitude, while Hadid shared an intimate black-and-white photo of Malik and Khai's hands, accompanied by a heartwarming message.

Although the couple split in October 2021, they remain dedicated co-parents. Malik has expressed how easy parenthood has been with Hadid, as Khai sleeps well and loves her milk.

In June 2021, Hadid spoke about the joys of motherhood and the simple pleasures of watching Khai learn new things every day.

Most recently, Malik and Hadid reunited to celebrate Khai's second birthday with a Peppa Pig-themed party organized by Malik.
