In September 2021, Malik faced charges of harassment after allegedly grabbing and shoving Yolanda Hadid into a dresser at their Pennsylvania home.

He was also charged with harassment against Gigi and security guard John McMahon. Malik pleaded no contest and denied striking Yolanda. He was sentenced to probation, anger management classes, and a domestic violence program.
