Israeli actress Gal Gadot is reportedly in talks to star in the upcoming film "Death on the Nile." This movie is the sequel to the popular "Murder on the Orient Express" and will once again be directed by Kenneth Branagh. Branagh is also expected to reprise his role as the master detective Hercule Poirot.
"Death on the Nile," which was first published in 1937, tells the story of Poirot's vacation in Egypt, where he becomes entangled in a deadly love triangle. Similar to "Orient Express," the novel features a cast of suspects that includes socialites, social climbers, and high society's aides.
If the deal is finalized, Gadot will portray the role of Linnet Doyle, a socialite who has recently married her former friend's fiancé.
In addition to her potential stint in "Death on the Nile," Gadot is currently busy shooting the highly anticipated film, "Wonder Woman 1984." The talks regarding her involvement in the murder mystery are reportedly at a sensitive stage, but fans of Gadot will surely be excited to see her take on this intriguing role.
