Suzanne Somers, the beloved actress known for her role in "Three's Company," is determined not to let her recent cancer diagnosis control her life. The 76-year-old icon confirmed that her breast cancer has returned, shortly after her husband and producer, Alan Hamel, disclosed the news to Page Six. In a statement shared with Entertainment Tonight, Somers expressed her resilient attitude towards the disease, stating, "I have been living with cancer since my 20s. And every time that little f—ker pops up, I continue to bat it back. I do my best not to let this insidious disease control me."
This is not the first time Somers has faced cancer.
Somers attributes her ability to withstand the disease to her supportive family and her incredibly healthy lifestyle.
Aside from her cancer battle, Somers is still recovering from a neck injury she sustained in 2020. The injury occurred when she fell down the stairs at her home while already recovering from a fractured hip. Although she underwent neck surgery, Hamel reveals that she is still dealing with some unresolved issues from the incident. As a result, Somers has decided to prioritize her health and put work on hold for now. In her absence, her family has kept her online show running. While her return date remains uncertain, her loved ones are ensuring that her show continues to entertain audiences.
