Suzanne Somers, known for her comedic prowess, managed to find humor even in a recent health scare. According to Page Six, fire trucks and an ambulance sped into the driveway of the "Three's Company" star's Palm Springs home over the weekend, only to discover that she was actually in perfect health. The 76-year-old actress revealed that she and her husband of 46 years, Alan Hamel, diligently monitor each other's blood pressure readings every day. However, on Sunday, her husband detected a reading he wasn't comfortable with, prompting them to call 911 for the first time ever.
Within minutes, a team from the fire department as well as an ambulance arrived at the scene. They quickly assessed her condition and assured her that everything was fine. Somers later discovered that the false alarm was caused by a faulty blood pressure monitor. She expressed her gratitude to the fire department, referring to them as "incredible" and playfully noting that they were all "movie star handsome."
Given their active sex life, it wouldn't be surprising if the couple's blood pressure occasionally rose. In a previous interview on Heather Dubrow's World podcast, Somers revealed that she and her ten-years-older husband engage in intimacy "three times before noon." Despite the unconventional timing, Somers humorously questioned why her husband couldn't wait until sunrise.
Despite her lighthearted approach to life, Somers has faced her fair share of struggles. She has long battled with cancer. Nevertheless, she and Hamel have remained happily married since 1977.
