A new pop-up restaurant and bar called The Golden Girls Kitchen will open in Beverly Hills this July, giving fans the opportunity to revisit the iconic home of the beloved sitcom. The show, which starred Betty White, Bea Arthur, Rue McClanahan, and Estelle Getty, ran from 1985 to 1992.
The pop-up eatery, officially licensed, aims to transport fans back to the 1980s Miami setting of the show, complete with Blanche Devereaux's distinctive leafy wallpaper and sunlit lanai. The kitchen, where the characters frequently gathered to enjoy cheesecake and discuss their problems, will be the focal point of the restaurant.
The menu will heavily incorporate cheesecake and desserts, along with themed dishes like Dorothy Zbornak's Miami Style Sandwich and Sophia's Lasagna, which will have a vegan option. The establishment will also feature a shop, as well as a recreation of Shady Pines, Sophia's former retirement home, on the way.
Tickets for The Golden Girls Kitchen, priced at $50, will include an entree and cheesecake at a reserved spot during a specific timeslot. Despite the passing of the last Golden Girl, Betty White, the show's enduring legacy continues to attract devoted fans.
