The luxurious Brentwood home that once belonged to Betty White has been completely demolished, leaving no traces of the beloved comic actress' former residence. In its place, a new property is now under construction, featuring a house, garden, and a pool. Betty White's five-bedroom, six-bathroom house was sold for a staggering $10.6 million following her passing on New Year's Eve in 2021, at the age of 99.

Regrettably, nothing remains of the original structure that had been Betty's home since 1968. Although the Brentwood property was initially built in 1952, Betty didn't move in until 1968 with her third husband, Allen Ludden.

It was the same house where the witty comedian spent her final days. Had it been up to her, Betty would have preferred to live out her remaining time in another property in Carmel. Unfortunately, she was compelled to leave her Carmel home due to the need for at-home care. According to an anonymous source, Betty "never wanted to leave her home in Carmel but was forced to for at-home care."

While Betty's Brentwood home was conveniently located near the studios where she worked and provided a level of privacy, her beloved Carmel property boasted a picturesque ocean view.

However, given her circumstances, the Brentwood residence was more suitable. Despite the distance, Betty had wished to live and pass away in her Carmel home, as it held sentimental value as the place she shared with her late husband.

Betty White's Carmel property was also swiftly sold for an impressive $10.4 million after being listed for sale. To Betty, home had always been where her cherished husband Allen was. Vicki Lawrence, a close friend of Betty's, mentioned that her final word was reportedly "Allen." Betty never remarried after Allen's death from stomach cancer in 1981.
