New images have emerged of Betty White's demolished home in the prestigious Los Angeles neighborhood of Brentwood. The house, which sold for an impressive $10.678 million in June, now appears as nothing but dirt as construction crews lay the groundwork for a new mansion. Betty White, the Golden Girls icon, sadly passed away on New Year's Eve 2021 at her home in Carmel-By-The-Sea, California, just weeks before her 100th birthday.

The pictures obtained by DailyMail.com reveal the complete destruction of the 3,029 square foot home, which boasted five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a pool, and a stunning view of the Getty Museum.

Betty had lived in the Brentwood property since 1968 with her third husband, Allen Ludden. After his death in 1981, she continued to hold onto the home for four decades. The beachfront estate in Carmel that she also owned sold for $10.775 million in April 2022, exceeding its asking price by nearly $3 million. The new owners of Betty's Brentwood home are reportedly planning to build a new mansion in its place.

The original house, built in the 1950s, was only occupied by Betty and Allen in the late 1960s.

Betty described Allen as the love of her life, and they had nearly two decades of marriage before his passing. Despite her first two marriages being practice runs, Betty waited until 1961 to meet Allen, a game show host. He had recently become a single father after the death of his first wife, Margaret McGloin. Despite multiple proposals, Betty initially refused to marry Allen due to her career commitments. However, they eventually tied the knot, and their love affair lasted until Allen's death in 1981.

Betty White's memoir and her appearance in The Golden Girls' episode dealing with the loss of a spouse showed the depth of her love and the impact of losing Allen. Despite the loss, Betty and Allen's stepchildren maintained a strong bond, and Betty considered them as her own. The demolition of her longtime home in Brentwood signifies the end of an era for the beloved actress and the beginning of a new chapter for the property's new owners.
