Suzanne Somers' family paid tribute to the late actress by preparing her recipes for Thanksgiving. Suzanne's son, Bruce Somers Jr., took to Instagram to share a video of the family gathered around the dinner table, captioning it, "@carolinesomers channeling my mom's cooking. So proud." Bruce's wife, Caroline Somers, also added snippets of the festive meal to her Instagram stories, exclaiming, "Days of prepping by @carolinesomers yielded a beautiful dinner."

In an interview with People, Caroline revealed that Thanksgiving held a special meaning for Suzanne and her family, as it was a cherished tradition for everyone to gather at Suzanne and husband Alan Hamel's Palm Springs home in California.

Caroline described the occasion as "a week of family, nature, and decadent holiday tastes."

Suzanne sadly passed away on October 15 after a brave battle with cancer that spanned over two decades. She died peacefully at home in the presence of her loving husband, Alan, son Bruce, and immediate family, according to her longtime publicist, R. Couri Hay.

Hamel shared that they explored every possible treatment for Suzanne after her breast cancer returned earlier this year. They tried a combination of alternative, integrative, and allopathic treatments.

Cancer proved to be a formidable adversary, constantly challenging them. Hamel stated, "Just when you think everything is fine and you get an all clear, cancer does an end-run … cancer is ugly, it’s an epidemic."

Despite the difficult journey, Suzanne's family remained by her side until the end. On her final day, Suzanne returned home to celebrate her birthday with her loved ones. Although she was in a weakened state, she fought until her last breath, using every available form of medicine. Suzanne's grandchildren came to celebrate, and while they ended up commemorating her life and legacy instead of her birthday, the family found solace in being together during this difficult time.
