Israeli actress Gal Gadot is facing criticism for her alleged involvement in organizing a U.S. screening of a film that depicts the October 7 attack on Israel by Hamas militants. The attack was the deadliest in Israeli history, leading to Israel launching a significant counterattack on Gaza.

The conflict has resulted in a high death toll, with 1,400 people killed in Israel and over 10,300 Palestinians killed according to officials. Gadot, known for her role as Wonder Woman, has been vocal in her support for Israel on social media throughout the conflict.

Reports suggest that she is now helping to organize a screening of a 47-minute video provided by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson.

Oscar-winning director Guy Nattiv is said to have been spearheading efforts to bring the film to the United States, with a private screening planned for select celebrities and public figures.

Despite the lack of specific details about the event, critics have already taken to social media to denounce Gadot for her alleged involvement and for not addressing the Palestinian death toll. Some have called for her to be "canceled" while others accused her of being a "propagandist" and a "genocide enabler."

However, there are also defenders of Gadot's actions who admire her for speaking out on the conflict and see the criticism as antisemitic.
