The production of Justice League was marked by a tumultuous history, filled with rewrites and reshoots leading up to the film's release. Zack Snyder, the original director, expressed his dissatisfaction with the initial version and ultimately released his own director's cut in 2021.

Joss Whedon, who replaced Snyder, has faced criticism for his conduct during the reshoots from the movie's cast members.

Actor Ray Fisher publicly called out Whedon's "abusive" treatment of the cast and crew in a tweet back in 2020. Fisher received support from other castmates, including Jason Momoa.

Gal Gadot, the latest to join in the allegations, revealed during an interview with Israeli television channel N12 News that Whedon had taken actions on-set that "threatened" her career.

She spoke about how he made her career miserable. Gadot promptly took action, stating that she felt it was vital to speak up and let people know that such behavior is not acceptable.

When Fisher first voiced his views on Whedon, a source mentioned that Gadot and Whedon had disagreements about lines she did not want to say in the new version of the film. Gadot's representatives confirmed at the time that her concerns were addressed by Warner Bros.

Michelle Trachtenberg, who played Dawn Summers on Buffy, supported Carpenter's post, revealing a rule on set that prevented Whedon from being alone in a room with her due to his behavior. Amber Benson, who portrayed Tara on the show, also voiced her concerns, acknowledging the lasting damage caused during that time.
