Model Gigi Hadid took to Instagram over the weekend to send birthday wishes to her friend Blake Lively, who turned 36. Hadid shared a throwback black-and-white photo of the two of them together, taken before they each had children. In her message, Hadid described Lively as a "magical friend and mamma," highlighting her qualities such as being protective, warm, witty, thoughtful, talented, and hot. 

She also credited Lively for being an inspiration and thanked her for being a light in her life. Lively, who has four children with husband Ryan Reynolds, responded by jokingly suggesting they co-parent each other's kids.

Hadid and Lively have been friends for a long time and have previously shared birthday messages on social media. In addition to celebrating Lively, Hadid recently shared photos of her own mother-daughter dates with her two-year-old daughter, Khai. 

The photos showcased their adventures enjoying the summer weather, including picking berries, spending time with horses, and going on boat rides. Hadid emphasized the importance of positive conversations around food and not being too hard on herself as a mom.
