The private family burial will take place this week, with a memorial to follow next month. Suzanne's husband, Hamel, stood by her side until the end. He had given her a special early birthday present, a handwritten love poem wrapped in her favorite pink peonies.

This tragic news comes just a few months after Hamel revealed that Suzanne's breast cancer had returned. She had been diagnosed for the first time in her 50s and had previously overcome skin cancer and "two hyperplasia." Despite the challenges, Suzanne remained strong and determined to fight the disease.
