Betty White's stunning beachfront estate in Carmel-by-the-sea, California is reportedly under contract for its asking price of $8 million. After being on the market since last week, the property, which Betty owned for 40 years until her passing on New Year's Eve at the age of 99, has received an offer that has been accepted. Although the sale has not been finalized yet, it seems that the idyllic estate will soon have a new owner. Betty and her late husband Allen Ludden built the three-story beachfront home in Carmel Valley in the early 1980s. Tragically, Ludden passed away shortly after the property's completion in 1981.
The property offers breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean and is nestled in a picturesque location near other celebrity-favorite enclaves like Monterey and Big Sur. Known for her love of Carmel, Betty's estate served as her special sanctuary and a place where she could recharge and find solace. Designed by architect Richard Hicks, the home beautifully blends with its natural surroundings, creating a serene and tranquil atmosphere.
