Gigi Hadid doesn't appear to be bothered by her recent run-in with the law. On July 18, the 28-year-old model took to Instagram to share a series of photos and videos from her vacation with friends, including some bikini pictures and carefree moments in the sun. She captioned the images, "All's well that ends well."
This carefree display came just days after Hadid was arrested and fined $1,000 when Customs & Border Control agents discovered marijuana and drug paraphernalia in her luggage upon her arrival in the Caribbean destination. According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Hadid was flying on a private jet to the Cayman Islands from the United States on July 10 when the substances were found.
The quantities of marijuana discovered were relatively small and appeared to be for personal use, according to local outlet Cayman Marl Road. Another member of Hadid's group, Leah Nicole McCarthy, also had similar materials in her bags and was arrested. Both women were charged and appeared in court on July 12, where they pleaded guilty and were fined $1,000 each. No conviction will be recorded.
A representative for Hadid stated that the marijuana had been legally purchased in NYC with a medical license and that it has been legal for medical use in Grand Cayman since 2017. Despite the incident, Hadid continued to enjoy her vacation, sharing more highlights on Instagram, including bikini photos and snapshots of the food and jewelry she enjoyed during the trip. The post has already received over 300,000 likes.
