Controversy surrounding alleged Islamophobia in the film Wonder Woman 1984 has resurfaced following actress Gal Gadot's reported involvement in a US screening of a documentary about the Israel-Hamas conflict.

Gadot, who helped organize the screening, was not present at the event. The conflict between Israel and Hamas has led to a significant number of casualties, with over 10,800 Palestinians and 1,400 Israelis reported killed.

In addition to her involvement in the IDF film screening, Gadot has faced criticism on social media for alleged "anti-Arab" content in Wonder Woman 1984, including a subplot involving an Arabic character wanting to expel "heathens" from their homeland.

Gadot, who served in the IDF as required by Israeli citizenship, had previously faced backlash for a scene in the film where her character uses a missile to save Arab children.

Gadot's publicist has been contacted for comment but has not responded. Despite growing criticism and calls for a ceasefire from progressive lawmakers and pro-Palestinian activists, Israel has rejected these requests and only agreed to a four-hour daily pause in hostilities.
