No, The Bold and the Beautiful's Hope didn't tell Thomas she loves him yet. No, she has yet to accept or decline his marriage proposal. But one thing you can be sure of is that Hope is enjoying sex with Thomas in ways we have never seen from this "good girl" before.
This week, B&B treated Thope fans to another hot intimate scene (revisit that here) at the love shack (cabin) between Hope (Annika Noelle) and Thomas (Matthew Atkinson).
Basking in the afterglow this week, Hope told Thomas that he brings out a primal side of her she never knew existed. Apparently, his one-woman laser focus is fanning Hope's flames of desire. We don't want to compare, but we are not sure she felt the same kind of passion for Liam (Scott Clifton).
Thope's Staying Power?
But hold on a minute there, Thope supporters. Isn't a taboo connection by definition more inherently steamy than long term married sex? Is family disapproval of Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacIness Wood) bringing a level of excitement to this union that would not be there without the opposition?
One also has to wonder how sustainable this on-the-edge passion will be in the long term. Hope will have to make up her mind sooner or later about her feelings for Thomas, not just her desire.
Once the thrill of early infatuation or romantic love passes (usually six months to a year), reality sets in. If the family stops opposing Thope, will an amount of sexual tension disappear? Once Hope gets used to being the only woman for her man, will sex become more routine? Will Thomas periodically fall off the mental health wagon and will that be a turn-off for Hope? And once the hormone high fades, will Hope remember what Thomas did to her in the past?
The answer to these burning questions remains to be seen. For now, we can enjoy (or cringe) at these bedroom scenes and take it for what it is. Hope, you go girl! Just keep in mind that real love remains after the lust fades.
