Gal Gadot has found herself at the center of criticism and praise after dedicating her social media accounts to supporting the people of Israel amidst the ongoing conflict with Hamas. 

The 38-year-old Wonder Woman star has been using her platforms, such as Instagram and Twitter, to show her solidarity with Israel following a recent attack by Hamas militants. 

Human rights organizations have called for a ceasefire as Israel has launched numerous airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, resulting in a scarcity of water, food, and electricity for the millions of people living there. The casualty count has risen significantly, with over 1,400 people killed in Israel and an estimated 8,525 people killed in Gaza.

Amid these escalating tensions, a foreign and defense analyst and broadcast journalist, James J. Marlow, shared a photo of Gal Gadot on November 1. The image, which has been viewed more than 1.9 million times, showed Gadot casually dressed, smiling, and saluting the camera while carrying a large backpack. Marlow claimed that the photo depicted Gadot enlisting in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). 

Although Gadot has been actively showing her support for Israel on social media, she has not mentioned enlisting in the Israeli army. The claim that she did so amid the current conflict is false. Newsweek has reached out to Gadot's representative for comment.

In summary, Gal Gadot has faced both criticism and praise for dedicating her social media accounts to supporting Israel. While she did serve in the IDF, there is no evidence to suggest she recently enlisted amid the current conflict.
