Israeli actress Gal Gadot, known for her role as Wonder Woman, has shared her support for Israel in the ongoing conflict with Palestinian group Hamas.

The conflict began when Hamas launched a surprise series of coordinated attacks on Israel, firing rockets from the Gaza Strip and crossing the border. In response, Israel carried out strikes on Hamas-controlled Gaza, declaring that the country was now "at war." The number of casualties has been rising rapidly, with hundreds of Palestinians and Israelis killed and wounded.

Gadot, who served in the Israel Defense Forces under compulsory military service laws, took to Instagram to voice her support for Israel.

She shared a screenshot of a BBC story about the conflict and wrote about the casualties and hostages held by Hamas. "My heart is aching," she said, expressing her prayers for those affected.

The actress also posted a picture of the Star of David on a blue background, declaring her support for Israel and urging others to do the same. She emphasized the importance of not remaining passive when such "horrific acts of terror" are happening.

Gadot further shared a fundraiser for people in Israel, encouraging her followers to donate and help those whose lives have been "changed forever" by the conflict.

The actress also used her Instagram stories to share videos and news clips highlighting the situation in Israel. One video depicted a city going about its normal routine, followed by scenes of missiles landing on apartment buildings. The voiceover explained the reality of the conflict from an Israeli perspective.

Gadot's comments garnered attention, but she was not the only public figure to speak out about the conflict. MSNBC reporter Ayman Mohyeldin emphasized the importance of understanding the narrative and seeking justice for Palestinians to achieve true peace in the region.
